A city loop of 21.097 km that starts and finishes by the City of Arts and Sciences. The course is completely flat, with wide bends and long straights along Valencia's broad avenues: you run through the centre, past the Plaza del Ayuntamiento and along the roads that border the Turia gardens, the old river bed turned into a park. The surface is even, the turns are gentle and the aid stations are well spaced, so it is a route built for running fast. In late October temperatures range from 14-16 degrees in the morning to 22-24 around midday, with little rain and a possible sea breeze. Coach's advice: keep the first three kilometres controlled, then settle into an even rhythm and drink early.

Arrival day: fly into Valencia, check in at the hotel and meet the team at the KiRun desk, where you get all the practical information; bib collection is done together with our staff. Day before the race: easy shake-out run with the KiRun coach along the Turia gardens, free time in the city or one of the optional excursions, then the pre-race briefing at the hotel desk with advice on kit, pacing and start-area logistics. Sunday 25 October: early breakfast at the hotel, short journey to the start area, race, and the KiRun meeting point after the finish to celebrate together. The following day: breakfast and return home, or an extra night to enjoy Valencia at a slower pace.

Valencia is reached by air from Italy, with direct flights from several cities or one stopover depending on your departure airport; the flight is not included, but as explained in the 'Il volo' section we can prepare a tailored quote for you. The airport is linked to the centre by the metro, which also serves the City of Arts and Sciences area. Around town you move easily on foot, by metro and by bike along the Turia gardens. The Holiday Inn Ciudad de las Ciencias sits opposite the City of Arts and Sciences, within walking distance of the start and finish area, while from the Westin, in the Mestalla district, public transport gets you there comfortably.

Is the bib really guaranteed? Yes, with the 95 € supplement shown on this page and while our KiRun allocation lasts: we are down to the last bibs, so it is worth booking soon. Can I bring a non-running companion? Of course, there is a dedicated rate without a bib: just ask us for the quote. Is the flight included?
