It is the forty-first edition. According to forecasts, there would have been at least thirty thousand participants, but current restrictions have forced the organization to limit participants to about thirteen thousand, all of whom are ready to break the record obtained last year by Ethiopian Kinde Atanaw Alayew, who ran the approximately forty-two kilometers in two hours, three minutes and fifty-one seconds. This is the sixth best time in the world, demonstrating that this marathon is one of the fastest in the world, excellent, therefore, even for beginners. The start is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. and will take place from the spectacular location of the City of Arts and Sciences, and then continue through the heart of Valencia and the most picturesque places, including a huge bridge flush with water of about a thousand meters that, this year, will give participants the impression of running on water. For those interested in participating, the price of bibs is 85 euros (for the first twenty thousand registered), then it will go up to over a hundred euros. Groups will start every six minutes, and there are as many as nine starting boxes, from which you will start depending on your bib: yellow-bottomed ones are for men under 2h 25′ and women under 2h 48′; green ones for all times under 2h 38′; blue bibs are dedicated to times under 2h 50′; orange ones for times over three hours; purple ones for times under 3h 15′; pink bibs are for those running under three and a half hours; brown ones for times under 3h 46′; gray ones for times under four hours; and finally, white bibs will be for everyone else. During the marathon, each runner will have a checkroom service present at both the start and finish areas and, at kilometers 10, 20, 30 and 40, will be able to use the restrooms. The route, as mentioned, will pass through a variety of landscapes, including the historic center and scenic streets overlooking the sea, and will end around 2:18 p.m., returning to the City of Arts and Sciences. Participants who will not be able to finish the race in time will have to turn in their bibs and take advantage of one of the accompanying vehicles. All those who finish the marathon in the allotted time will receive an official medal.

The event of the year for runners across Europe , the “mas llana” race of Europe: the Valencia Marathon […]

Read More… from The Valencia Marathon 2021

[193
237,302,267,253,264
post-2760","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-races","tag-kirun-en","tag-valencia-2020-en","tag-valencia-2020-bibs","tag-valencia-marathon-en","tag-valencia-marathon-packages
["GET
